"I did as you asked, Master," Dani said, walking back into the Spells 'R Us store.
"Yes, I saw that," the old man said. "Let's hope that will keep him out of our business."
Karyn was keeping an eye on both Chris and Tina, but also the thief (Tommy Hill) who stole the ring from Spell 'R Us. Jon didn't tell her to keep an eye on Tommy, though. That was just her decision. An artifact with the power to grant wishes was a dangerous thing. Karyn of all people should know that. She just wanted to make sure that Tommy wasn't getting into too much trouble with it.
She looked into the wide-screen high-definition projection crystal ball and watched as Tommy and his girlfriend's brother James (both changed by the magic of the ring) were walked in on by Tommy's girlfriend Debbie. Not wasting a moment, Debbie wished that everything was back to normal.
Karyn smiled. "Smart girl."
But then, Debbie's brother said those two dreaded words after he learned that the ring could grant wishes. In the crystal ball, Karyn saw him say "I wish ..."
