After thinking a little about it, Lizzie decided to change the setting on Eric's "Fear" meter. She slid it from 1.3 all the way up to 6.0, then she clicked on the "Monitor" button to see his reaction (making sure that she turned the volume all the way up).
"Remember, I have to be home by eight o'clock," Eric told his friend Jason.
"Eight o'clock? Is your mom that much of a hardass?"
"No, it's my sister." Eric shook a little. "Sometimes she ... she hurts me."
"Your little sister?" Jason asked, laughing a bit.
"It's not funny," Eric snapped.
Lizzie then moved the setting from 6.0 to 9.0, and then looked at the screen. From what she could tell, Eric was actually crying.
"Man, what the hell is wrong with you?" Jason asked.
"My sister. I'm so terrified of her. If I don't get back home on time, she'll beat the crap out of me."
"Dude, you're bigger than her. What the hell are you so afraid of?"
But Eric still kept shaking in fear over his sister.
Lizzie was amazed at how different her brother was acting, but she wasn't sure she wanted to keep him this way. Although, it would be nice to push him around at least once. And in his current state of mind, it would be a piece of cake.
