Jake kept watching the game on the TV until there was another commercial break, then he sighed. Without looking over at Dave, he asked "Are you done yet?" When there was no answer, he was about to turn and look, but before he could, two small hands reached around from behind him and covered his eyes.
"Guess who?" a little girl's voice asked, before giggling.
Jake, surprised by the unknown voice, jumped up from the couch and spun around. Standing behind the couch was a young girl he didn't recognize. But he did recognize what she was wearing. It was the pink swimsuit he bought for Breanne. The one that was supposed to fit anyone.
"Who are you?" Jake demanded. "How did you get in here?"
The girl giggled. "I'm Daphne, silly," she said. "And I live here. With you."
"What? I don't even know you. Did Dave put you up to this?"
The girl looked a little confused. "Dave?"
"Yeah, my roommate Dave." He looked around. "Where is he, anyway?"
"I ... I know Dave," the girl said, as if recalling some distant memory. "He's ... he's me."
That got Jake's attention. "What did you say?"
