The man practically shoved Jake out of the shop, and closed the door behind him.
Jake looked down at the swimsuit he was holding. He was puzzled at the situation, but at least it was free. "I hope Breanne will like this," he said to himself, before heading off to his next and final destination: his apartment.
When Jake finally arrived, the first thing he noticed was his roommate Dave sitting on the couch, watching a basketball game. The second thing he noticed was that Breanne wasn't there yet. Good. It'll give me some time to wrap this thing, he thought.
"Hey, man," Dave said, glancing up at him. "Breanne called. She's gonna be a little late." The game paused for a commercial break, so Dave used it to ask him "So, what did you get her?"
"A swimsuit."
"Is it a hot one?"
"Well ... not exactly."
"What do you mean?"
Jake showed him and Dave nearly died from laughter. "Stop it," Jake said.
After settling down a bit, Dave asked "Are you sure that's not for Breanne's little sister?" He laughed again.
"She doesn't have a little sister, and no. It's for Breanne. The guy at the shop said it would fit her."
"Was the guy going blind?" Dave asked. "Because anyone could see that that swimsuit is too small for her."
"He guaranteed me that it would fit anyone. Even someone who was fat and tall."
"Sounds to me like you got conned, dude," Dave said.
"I didn't buy it. He gave it to me for free."
"Free?" Dave asked. "That's strange." He looked at Jake. "You don't really think it will fit anyone, do you? That's just plain nuts." He paused. "Give to me. I'll show you that the guy was just messing with your head."
"You want to put it on?" Jake asked.
"Only to show you that that shop guy is full of crap. Now, come on. Give it to me."
