She took the necklace out of the box and put it on. Then she walked to a mirror and smiled. "It's perfect."
"I'm glad you like it," Jake said.
"I really DO Jake," beamed Breanne. She moved closer to him and gave him a quick peck on the lips. "Now we're going to have to make tonight even more special."
"Definitely."
Dave groaned from the other room, "Geez you two. Spare me the mushy stuff and get going."
"Bite me, Dave."
Jake half expected Breanne to get annoyed at his roommate, but in this case, she didn't turn her attention away from him.
"No Jake, he's right. We should get going if we're going to make the most of the evening. Now, I wish you'd stop stalling and put on something nice like me so we can go."
