Jake's eyes fell upon a strange remote. It looked like a universal remote for a regular tv set, but it had some strange buttons in addition to the usual ones. There was "BE", "PE", "TG", "AR", "AP", "MC", "BM", "CL", "SWP", and an assortment of other buttons.
"I see you found our new universal remote," Jon said. Jake spun around, startled by this voice appearing behind him.
"Where did you come from?" Jake asked.
"Why, I own this shop. So would you like to buy it? It's very special."
"What's so special about it."
"Well, it can change so much more than the channels. Change yourself, or your friends. Control time. In fact, it can even put you or your friends right into your favorite television program."
"Right. Well, I do need a new remote. Fine, I'll take it." Jake said, deciding he wouldn't find something for Breanne here. He went up and paid for the remote, and then stopped at a jewelry store on the way home to get a proper gift for Bree. He made his way back to his apartment, skeptical of what the guy in the shop said, but interested to see what exactly those extra buttons were for.
