Lou watched in utter amazement as he watched the 23-year old girl emerge from the dressing rooms, wearing the Playboy Playmate outfit that the 16-year old girl brought into the dressing rooms just moments earlier. It was the same girl, only older. He just knew it. But he had no idea how it had happened.
He was puzzled when the girl's friend made no notice of the girl being older. How could someone not notice something like that? What he hadn't realized was that the small crystal pendant that hung around his neck (which he called his "lucky charm") was actually protecting him from the magic of the enchanted costume that Haley (as Jake) had bought at Jon's magic shop earlier that day.
When they turned towards his direction, he turned away, looking busy. Then they garnered his attention, wanting to check out. He allowed them to pay for the costumes, just like any other customers, but subconsciously, he was eying them. Eying them both, just to see if either of them noticed that the teenage girl that came into his store almost twenty minutes ago had turned into the stunning mid-twenties beauty that currently stood before him. But neither of them made any notice of it. From what he could tell, anyway.
He watched them leave, noticing a brief argument erupt between a woman and the two girls (from the dialog he overheard, he realized that she was their mother - and quite an attractive one, even if it was in a conservative way). And that's when he started to wonder if any of his other costumes could have a similar effect on other people. He imagined the conservative thirty-something woman dressing up as a dominatrix and then acting like one. Or maybe he could dress her up as a pirate or maybe a whore. He smiled to himself, thinking these dirty thoughts to himself, as he watched the two girls walking away, leaving the woman by herself.
Lou walked out to the entrance of his store and asked "Wanna buy a costume?" He leered at her, which caused the woman to become uncomfortable. "Or maybe just try one on? Just to see how it looks?"
