Jake's vision blurred and when everything came back into focus, some things were different, like the fact that Breanne was wearing a wedding dress.
"Haley, there you are," Breanne said. "The wedding is in an hour. Why are you here?" She shook her head. "Never mind. Let's just get to the church. I can't get married without all of my bridesmaids with me, right?"
"What? You're getting married?" Jake asked, for the moment overlooking the fact that she called him "Haley" instead of "Jake". "Wait a minute. Did you say your bridesmaids?"
Jake looked down at himself and realized that he was a woman! And now that he thought about it, his voice did seem a little higher. He just figured it was like that because he was surprised by Breanne. But no, it was because he was female now.
Then, finally, something Breanne said dawned on him. "Did you just call me Haley?"
