"Oh, you're up," a familiar voice said, breaking Janet out of her thoughts. She looked up and saw her sister Brenda. But wow, did she look different! As John, Janet never got along with Brenda. It was like they were in two separate worlds. Her sister was really into a wild crowd. Bikers, rock music, that sort of thing. But now, her sister was completely different. Perhaps the change of John's life (Janet's life) rubbed off on Brenda? The girl that stood before her didn't look like she was anything wild at all (at least not "rock music and bikers" wild). Her dark brown hair looked like it had been bleached blond and her clothing was way more pink than Janet ever remembered seeing it. "Janet? Are you okay? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Uh ... no reason."
Brenda grabbed something from the refrigerator. "Well, stop it. That staring is kind of creeping me out."
"Sorry," Janet said, turning away.
Brenda walked to the kitchen table and sat down. "I bet you're all excited about today, huh?"
"Huh? Why?" Janet asked.
Brenda looked confused. "What do you mean 'why'? Janet, today is ..."
