Jon was looking over the machine wondering how it works when he heard the sound of a knock on the door and his mom calling up to him.
"Jon, your friend Karyn is here. it seems her family's transporter is broken and she needs to use yours. Can you two carpool together to save energy?"
"are you sure this would be safe" Jon called back.
"Of course Jon, we've had a transporter for years, why are you so nervous now" his mom replied as she led Karyn to his room. "The DNA identification always keeps mix ups from happening. That way you and Zoe can head to your schools, mikey to his, and me and dad to the west transporter hubwhere we then take different units to work. it saves much more energy than using our own ports to go to two different jobs. Now go to school you too."
Jon and Karyn entered the transporter system and it energized.
