A year Later

Jon and his mom were, even a year later, unable to get their heads on their respective bodies. It hadn't been easy, but there were ways to adjust.
His parents had gotten a separation. They loved each other, but, given the situation, decided it was the best thing to do.
Jon herself had started college, and had gotten an apartment with Rodney and a guy named Tom. Tom had the one bedroom, and Jon and Rodney got the larger bedroom.
Jon didn't like what this had done to his family, but she (mostly), wasn't at fault with what happened. The tech support people were close to a solution, but that it would still take some months to work out all the kinks.
However, she did like what had happened with him and Rodney. They were a steady couple, and had a good relationship. The hormones had feminized her face somewhat, and now her hair was cut short but feminine to better reflect Jon's current gender. Jon even went by her rather than he now, but kept her name the same. If this did get resolved to where she became a he again, another name would just be a hassle.
Jon was getting ready to go to class one day. She had shaved, showered, brushed her hair and teeth, and put deodorant on. Now she needed to decide on what to wear.
