The stone he put in its place looked almost exactly like Jon's stone, except that it wasn't. It was The Opposite Opposite Stone.
It worked just like the normal stone, except that in addition to granting the wish, it also granted the opposite of the wish to the opposite of whomever or whatever the target of the wish was. It's up to the stone itself to determine what is considered "opposite".
