Steve groaned, ducking into a shower to avoid any attention beyond Biff. Biff, however, followed Steve, too curious to let up. "Dude what the fuck is going on with you. Did you just shrink?"
Steve glanced in a nearby mirror, then checked under his shirt. Sure enough, he had lost a few inches in height, and what's more had loss almost all muscle mass, leaving his frame rather small indeed. "Look, something weird is going on here, Biff, but I need you to promise not to tell anyone."
"Tell anyone what, dude?" Biff asked, furrowing his brow.
Steve showed Biff the ring on his finger. "See this? I woke up with this morning with this thing on my finger, and I can't get it off for the life of me. Ever since then, I've been changing. What you just saw was one of the most dramatic shifts, but that's not all."
"Is that why you were talking with Jon?"
"Yes. Jon also has a ring, and his ring is likely the reason he was staring at you."
"So you guys have rings that are turning you gay?"
"What? No! The changes are different for each of us, but in Jon's case it seems to make him find guys like you attractive. Now can I trust you not to talk about this?"
Biff thought about it, then nodded. He may have been an oaf and a bully, but Biff liked to think he was loyal to his friends. "Yeah, I'll keep quiet. And if anyone tries to give you shit for you being small now, lemme know. I'll kick their ass."
"I appreciate the offer. But that also means leaving Jon alone for now. He has enough problems without you messing with him."
"Alright, fine," Biff relented. "I don't have another class with him for the rest of the day, anyhow."
"Good," Steve said, checking the locker room before walking out.
