"I wish there were more Goths at this school," Zoe said. The stone glowed, granting her wish. But then, suddenly, there was a scream.
Both Zoe and Athena turned there heads to (pleasantly) see that Sarah McMillan, the one and only bitchy cheerleader brat, was now a Goth. But there was something wrong. She was acting like she noticed that she had changed. And the girls walking with her (they didn't turn into Goths - they were just as preppy as before) noticed too.
But why? Sarah obviously couldn't have heard Zoe's wish, so her memories should have been changed to fit the new reality. But that's not what happened.
"I ... I ... I'm a freak!" Sarah yelled.
"Me too!" another girl yelled, from the other side of the school yard. Zoe and Athena turned and saw a girl dressed very similarly to Athena. It was Tina Shepard, one of that religious freak Nadine Ferguson's friends. And Tina was just as much of a Bible-thumper as Nadine was. But now, she looked like anything but. "I look like a witch!"
Athena turned towards Zoe. "Why do they still have their original memories?"
"I don't know."
