I understand your not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings, but nothing but 10's is every bit as useless as nothing but 1's. And leaving the value of constructive criticism alone (which isn't really possible with this system) I don't think being one 9.75 rating in a sea of 9-10 rated episodes is all that encouraging as a writer either.
