On the far end of the temple, there was a reflective pond. I assumed that it was for decoration, until I came up to it.
It was a game control display. Looking like some sort of a holographic projection, menus appeared on the surface of the water. When I saw the words CHECK STATUS, I reached down and touched the words. There was a flash of light and then one word appeared, in red: ERROR.
What does that mean? I wondered to myself. It couldn't have been good, that's for sure.
"Is there a problem?" a man asked behind me. He walked up to the pond and looked down at it. "That's odd," he said. "I've never seen it do that before." Then he turned towards me. "Who are you?" He sounded like he was beginning to get angry. "How did you get here?" he demanded.
