"I wish all the most popular people at school would become Goth." The stone glowed, granting her wish.
But it wasn't granted the way she wanted, because while certain people definitely became Goths (like Sarah McMillan herself, who just walked into view a moment earlier, and the couple of jocks who walked with her), there was something off about them. It wasn't until they watched Sarah pounce on a girl and bite into her neck that they realized that the popular crowd didn't just become Goths. They became vampires! Certainly, vampires could be identified as gothic, but Zoe never intended for this.
As Sarah looked up (blood dripping from her mouth), she watched as a multitude of high school students ran away in sheer panic. The two jocks (former jocks - now they looked as lanky as Zoe and Athena's friend Trevor Blake) pounced on their own victims, ripping their necks away.
"This isn't what I meant!" Zoe yelled, over the constant screaming.
Suddenly, there was the sound of broken glass. Zoe and Athena turned around and saw Tiffany Sanders (who had a reputation for being a slut). She had jumped through a window. But it wasn't to escape. She was a vampire too. She bared her fangs in a snarl, then ran towards Zoe and Athena.
"Wish for something! Quick!" Athena yelled.
"But it's not working right!" Zoe yelled.
"Give it me! I'll do it!" Athena yelled, grabbing the stone from Zoe. "I wish ..."
