"I wish Karyn was here," Jon said. He wanted to make sure she was around when he made his wishes, otherwise her memories would change to fit the new reality.
The stone glowed, granting his wish, and Karyn appeared in his room, fully dressed and ready to go, although looking a bit rattled and confused.
"Jon? What the hell? What am I doing in your room?" she asked.
"I wished you here. I wanted to use the stone a little more, but I didn't want your memories to change."
"How considerate," she said sourly.
"Hey," Jon said, getting a little annoyed by Karyn's attitude. "I could have just let your memories change along with everyone else's. How 'bout a little gratitude here?"
"Sorry," Karyn said. "I guess I just don't like being wished somewhere else against my will. Why didn't you just call me over or at least give me some warning first? God, Jon. I could've been taking a shower or something."
"Well, if you're gonna be such a bitch about this ..."
Karyn was about to ask Jon why he was acting so irritated, but before she could, Jon said those two magic words.
