As Jon left his house to go meet Karyn before school, the stone suddenly glowed in his pocket. But it went unnoticed. Another thing that went unnoticed was the change in reality caused by Sarah's wish.
About ten minutes later, Jon met up with his friend at their usual meeting spot, the wall where he first demonstrated the power of the wishing stone.
"Did you bring it?"
"Of course, I did," Jon answered, pulling the stone out of his pocket.
"Can I use it? I know exactly what I want to wish for. I was thinking about it all last night."
"Uh, I don't know," Jon said. He was clearly hesitant. "After what happened yesterday ..."
"That was an accident, Jon. Do you really think I wanted to have long blond hair and breasts? I mean, I'm a guy, for god sakes."
Jon shrugged his shoulders and handed the stone over. "Okay, Karl. But if you mess up again, I won't let you wish any more. At least not for a while."
"I won't mess up. I promise."
Unknown to either of them, the wish that Sarah had made caused all the other girls that loved Jon (because of his wish) to turn into guys. Jon's wish wasn't contradicted because he wished that every girl who was at least his age (in other words, an upperclassman) and went to his school was attracted to him and wanted to have sex with him. And since Sarah remained a girl, that wish could still be in affect. It's just that now, every single student in the Junior and Senior classes was a guy, except for Sarah. It was something that was possible, although highly unlikely. But since everyone's memories changed to fit the new reality (except for Sarah's), everyone thought it was normal.
Karl (formerly Karyn, although he has no memory of that) held the stone in his hand, not realizing that it was actually The Charity Stone, and said "I wish ..."
