The first family in this guide is the Carlyle family. Although small for a standard GRR family, having only three children, the Carlyles are well respected throughout Lake Point despite being new money. They live in a large, five-bedroom brick-clad house with a front porch and a spacious backyard.
At the head of the household is Lin Carlyle. The dark-haired but rather average Lin is a partner at a family-run but rather successful, law firm; as such, the family has only recently become wealthy. Lin is a bit of a work-aholic, always working late into the evenings and therefore is very rarely at home. However, on the weekends on a very hot summer’s day, shi can be found working the barbecue and serving up hir famous steaks.
Next is Lin’s husbenne, Romelia. Romelia and Lin have been childhood sweethearts, having known each other since high school. While Lin went off to college to study for hir law degree, Romelia stayed at home and got a job as a secretary. As soon as Lin graduated and returned home, they married and Romelia retired to become a househusbenne.
Romelia is an old-style househusbenne, taking pride in hys appearance and a well kept house. Once a week, Romelia gets together with some of the other househusbennes and while hei isn’t in charge of the group, hei tries to set an example for the other husbennes in the hope that they’ll look to hym for fashion advice and housekeeping tips.
Jonatha Carlyle is the oldest child of the Carlyle family. Hei is currently in high school and enrolled on the cheerleader squad. Unlike hys fellow cheerleaders, Jonatha would rather be elsewhere but felt pressured to join the squad regardless. Hys dyed blonde hair is a sign of hym trying to fit in with hys peers, but at heart, hei is really more of a Janegurl.
Jonatha is currently the only boi on the cheerleading squad who doesn’t have a gurlfriend, much to the other bois amusement. They constantly tease hym (in a friendly manner) about it and often try to set hym up with some gurls, but Jonatha tries hys best to reject them. It’s almost as if hei’s waiting for someone…
The second and middle child of the Carlyle family is Zane Carlyle. Zane is the only gurl of the family, which often makes hir feel a bit out of place. Shi is two years Jonatha’s junior and goes to the same high school as hir brother. Shi is an above average student but hir strongest subject is history.
Whilst not the most athletic gurl in the world, Zane does have a keen interest in football. Hir favourite team is the Chicago Bears. Shi also has an interest in video games but shi’s not the most sociable person, preferring to keep a small circle of friends around hir.
Finally, we have Michelle-Anne, the third and youngest child of the Carlyle family. Unlike hys older brother Jonatha, Michelle-Anne screams boi. Hys bedroom is what you would expect of a 10-year-old boi: pink-painted walls, soft carpets and posters of unicorns and such. If you asked hym, Michelle-Anne would tell you that he has the largest Kinnabelle collection in Lake Point.
Michelle-Anne dreams of being a cheerleader in high school like hys brother and then a househusbenne like hys father. Sometimes, when hys brother isn’t looking, Michelle-Anne likes to sneak into hys room and steal Jonatha’s make-up. Hei likes to dress up from time to time.
