Zoe pushed Karyn off of her. "Get off me!" Then she looked at Jon. "There's something majorly fucked up with your friend, Jon. She came in here and started making out with me." She made spitting noises, then said "Yuck!"
"What?" Karyn asked, clearly confused. "I ... I thought you loved me too."
"Loved you? I can't stand you. Now more than ever. What the fuck is wrong with you?"
Karyn suddenly became crushed. How could the love of her life not love her in return? She turned and looked at Jon and then what he was holding. Her eyes brightened. The stone! She could just wish Zoe to love her.
So, in one quick move, she swiped the stone out of Jon's hand and made a wish, not realizing that it was actually The Substitution Stone and her wish wouldn't be granted the way she wanted it to be.
"Wait, there's something wrong with ..." Jon began to say, realizing what Karyn was planning to do.
But Karyn wasn't paying any attention to him. "I wish ..."
