Like all possessors of this particular stone, Kyla thought it was the wishing stone (the one that Jon had inherited from his grandfather). But Kyla thought that the stone was a family heirloom, passed down through generations of her family.
So, she had no idea that the stone would disappear after her first wish.
Clutching the stone, Kyla said "I wish ..."
