The next morning, Jon woke up to see Karyn standing next to his bed.
"Karyn! What are you doing in here?!" he yelled, as he frantically covered himself up under his bed sheets.
"Don't freak out, Jon. I just thought I'd come over early to try out the stone again. I've been thinking all night about what to wish for."
"Okay, fine. You can use it. But first, can you get out so I can get dressed?"
"Okay, Jon. Whatever you say." And she left the room.
Jon started to get ready for school, but as he was putting on his socks, he felt the need to use the bathroom. He opened the door and nearly walked straight into Karyn.
"Already done?" Karyn asked. Then she looked him up and down, seeing that he was only dressed in a pair of underwear and socks. "Is that what you're wearing?"
"No," Jon said, blushing a bit. "I just need to use the bathroom. You don't mind, do you?"
Karyn shook her head and smiled as she watched Jon walk into the bathroom and close the door. Then she turned and looked into Jon's bedroom. Her eyes scanned the room, then focused in on the wishing stone, which was just sitting there on Jon's nightstand, ever so innocently. She could just walk in there and use it. Jon was probably going to be in the bathroom for a few minutes. That would be plenty of time to make one simple wish.
