"I wish Karyn was here," Jon said, then put the stone back down on his nightstand. He wanted Karyn to be there so they could discuss what he had in mind for the stone. He was up for hours the previous night thinking about it.

The stone glowed and suddenly Karyn was in his bedroom, dressed in a blue T-shirt and gray pajama bottoms. Seeing Karyn in that T-shirt with her enhanced breasts was turning Jon on. And Karyn noticed.

"Quit it," she said, slapping him. "You know, you didn't have to wish me over. Ever heard of a telephone? If I had some warning, at least I could have gotten dressed." She sighed. "Why did you want me over here so quickly anyway?"

"I wanted to discuss what to do with the stone. I guess I thought it couldn't wait."

Karyn sat down on Jon's bed. "Okay, what do you want to do with it?"

"Well," Jon said, picking up the stone again. "First, I want to wish for some precautions. You know, if we lose the stone or something."

"Okay, that sounds good."

Jon held the stone and said "I wish that if this stone gets lost or stolen, I'll know where it is and who took it." But the stone didn't glow and his wish wasn't granted. "Hey, how come it didn't grant my wish?"

"Does it contradict a previous wish?" Karyn asked.

"I don't think so."

Karyn took it from Jon and looked closely at it. "I wish I knew why Jon's wish didn't get granted." The stone glowed and Karyn's eyes went wide.

"Karyn? What is it?"

"This isn't your stone, Jon."

"What are you talking about? Of course it's my stone. How many wishing stones could there be?"

"Well, at least two. Because this isn't yours. It's something called The Spurned Stone. If someone makes wishes with it and then stops touching it, they can never make wishes with it again."

"Not ever?"

"It looks that way."

"Then you better not let go of it, Karyn. If you do, we'll have to find someone else to use it for us. And I don't know who we could trust."
