"Jon, what's wrong?" Karyn asked. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Karyn. You're ... the stone," Jon uttered. He wondered how she'd respond to that.
"Of course I'm the stone, Jon. It's just that I have a new form now."
"Wait a minute. You know that you're the stone? And you're not freaking out about it?"
Karyn walked towards him, then sat down on the bed next to him. She was wearing Karyn's favorite green jumper and a pair of jeans. Her current look was just as Jon imagined her in his mind when he made his wish. But he never thought that the stone would actually become her. It's not what he wished. Not exactly, anyway.
"I'm just glad that I have the opportunity to talk to you now. Before, I was just a stone. But now I'm a living breathing human."
"But you're not really Karyn, are you?"
"I have all of Karyn's memories. Doesn't that make me Karyn?" she asked.
"I guess so. But what about the original Karyn?"
"What about her?"
"Does she still exist or did you replace her?" Jon asked.
