Without careful wording there's always some risk that the magic stone would interpret a wish too literally. This wish was accidental, and gave it plenty of opportunities to get very literal....
"I've been thinking," explained Karyn. "That magic lipstick you showed me."
"What are you talking about?" replied Jon. "Magic lipstick?"
"The one that gave me blonde hair and breasts!"
"But that was a stone. Wait a minute... I just realized. I found a tube of lipstick, and I thought you might have dropped it at my place sometime." He took it out of his pocket and showed it to her. "You mean this one?"
"Yeah. I have a confession to make, Jon. I wasn't a girl until four years ago, just before we first met."
"Huh?"
"I mean it. I wasn't a girl. My name was Karl. Right when my family moved here I saw this pond in the woods. It looked strange, like a kind of sparkling water. It smelled fresh and I drank it. Then all of a sudden I turned into a girl. I didn't have any choice but to act like I was like this all along. But I wasn't a girl. And now that you have that magic lipstick, you can use it to change me back... You see, I have this theory. You said you got the lipstick from your grandfather. What if he was dabbling in magic and he left some magic things lying around? That could explain why there was a magic pond that transformed me."
"Seriously? Are you playing a joke on me, Karyn? Why didn't you say anything before?"
"I couldn't, Jon! I mean, there's no way anyone would believe me, even you! Until you got the magic lipstick, so you know that magic is real."
"But I don't even know why I have a magic lipstick. It's a stone! It's not a lipstick. I can't believe you're really a guy and you've had to act like a girl for these past four years, but I can't change you back."
"Why not?"
"Because of your hair and breasts. I can't reverse those. So if I change you back, you'd be a guy with long blonde hair and breasts. I'm going to have to leave you like this at least until we can solve that problem. At least if you want someone to talk to you can tell me about it now."
