Jane was about to take another bite of her food when suddenly the room around her seemed to become unfocused and she felt dizzy. Her first thought was food poisoning, but once her dizzy spell was over, that thought disappeared immediately.
She slowly stood up from the table and looked around. It wasn't her kitchen. Instead, it was Linda's kitchen. She had been over to her friend's house many times, so she knew what it was when she saw it.
But how did she get here?
She walked out of the kitchen and was about to leave the house, but stopped when she saw a family portrait hanging on the wall. Jane had seen it many times, but this time it was different. It was supposed to be Linda, her husband Rick, and their daughter Stacey. But now it was Jane, Richard, and Stacey. And, oddly, Stacey looked a little more like Jane now than Linda.
What was happening?
