Karyn was working on her math homework, hoping to get it done fast so that she could go over to Jon's house to use the wishing empathy belly some more. But just as she was finishing up problem number fifteen, her vision became blurred and woozy. Then the entire world seemed to fall away.
And when everything came back, she heard a girl's voice say "Karyn? Are you, like, okay?"
Karyn blinked and looked around. She was no longer at home. Instead, she was at the mall. She looked down at her hand. She was holding two shopping bags full of lingerie and other wardrobe accessories. Then her attention drifted towards the rest of herself. She was dressed just like all the other preppy girly cheerleaders girls - like Sarah McMillan, Tiffany Sanders, Melissa Smith, etc. What was happening? How could this ...
Suddenly, she stopped. The empathy belly! Jon must have been using it to change her. But why would he do this to her?
"Karyn?"
She turned to see who was speaking to her. Her eyes went wide when she saw that it was Sarah's best friend Tiffany. Standing beside her were Jessica Davis and Amber Levine, two more cheerleaders.
"Are you okay? Because you look totally freaked out," Tiffany said.
"I'm not, like, really sure." Karyn's eyes went wide again. Why was she talking like a ditz? "Uh ... I need to, like ... uhh." She couldn't keep a thought in her head! The more time that passed, the harder it was. What was Jon doing to her?!
