"So, who's it going to be?" Karyn asked.
"Ollie. I think we can trust him."
Karyn shrugged her shoulders. "Okay."
They left Jon's bedroom and headed towards Jon's twin brother's room. They slowly opened the door, seeing that he was still asleep.
"Are you sure you want to do this now?" Karyn whispered.
"Yeah. I'll just wake him up. He'll be waking up soon anyway." Jon walked over to Ollie's bed and shook his fraternal twin awake.
"Jon?" he groggily asked. "What ... what is it, bro?"
"Now, Ollie. This is going to sound strange, but I need you to make a wish."
"A wish?" Ollie sat up and saw that Karyn was standing in the room with Jon. "Oh. Hi, Karyn. What are you doing here?"
"It doesn't matter," Jon said, handing Ollie the stone. "Hold this and say 'I wish Jon's wishing stone was returned to him'. Those exact words, okay?"
"What's this all about?" he asked. He looked down at the ordinary-looking stone in his hand. "Are you saying this stone grants wishes?"
Karyn was becoming uneasy.
"Listen, Ollie. This is important. Just say it, okay?"
Ollie looked at his brother, then at Karyn, and then back at the stone in his hand. Could it really grant wishes? Jon didn't say, but Ollie had the feeling that it could.
