"Heads. I guess I get the first wish," Jon said.
Karyn looked disappointed.
"Oh, come on, Karyn. It's not like you have to wait until tomorrow to make your wish. You'll do it right after mine." He paused. "Now, for my wish. I wish that if this stone gets lost or stolen, I'll know where it is and who took it." The stone glowed. "I just thought that I should take some precautions."
Karyn looked at him oddly, then tilted her head downward. "As you say, Master."
"Huh?" Jon asked. But then he thought she was just kidding around, because of the whole taking turns thing. "Oh, very funny."
But Karyn wasn't laughing.
"Karyn, you can stop now."
"Stop what, Master?"
"Okay, Karyn. It's not funny anymore. Cut it out."
"Master, I don't know what you mean," Karyn said.
Now Jon was getting concerned. What happened to Karyn and why was she calling him 'Master'?
