I don't mind you trying to do this at all. The problem, however, is that Anneza cannot relay messages without a common language with at least one of the parties (specifically, humans).
If you wanna have her knowing the language of the gods, be my guest, but then I might have to add Selene making Lucas and Cass able to speak it, as they will visit the Assembly (so as to fulfill the purpose of them showing up there).
This, in turn, might land Cass a job as Anneza's teacher (Lucas, being based off of me, is utterly incompetent at teaching) and Lucas a job as her interpreter (Cass isn't necessarily a competent interpreter, whereas translation and interpreting are closer jobs).
Just floating this idea, mind you.
