"Sarah, are you okay?" Allison asked.
"She's not Sarah. I am," they heard a girl say. They turned around and saw Karyn Black, a loser girl that they occasionally picked on. She was striking a pose that Sarah usually struck.
"What are you talking about?" Melissa asked. "That's ridiculous."
"Oh yeah?" Sarah (in Karyn's body) said. Then she proceeded to tell each of the girls something that only Sarah would know. And, of course, since it was Sarah who was telling them, the things she was revealing were all completely embarrassing. They all believed her right away.
"Then ... if you're Sarah. Then ... who's that?" Tiffany asked, pointing at the girl who looked like Sarah.
"That's a good question," Sarah said. She walked over to the person that had her body and grabbed her. "Who are you?" she demanded.
"Zoe. Zoe Gibson."
Zoe watched Karyn's face contort in disgust. "Ugh. One of those disgusting freaks has my body?" she asked to no one in particular.
Zoe struggled free from Sarah's grasp. "I'm not a freak! I'm a Goth."
It was weird. No one would ever think that those three words would ever be spoken by Sarah McMillan. But, of course, it was only Sarah's body, not her mind.
"Change us back," Sarah demanded. "Use your black magic or whatever and get me back in my own body."
"I don't know how to use magic. I'm a Goth, not a witch. And I don't know how I got in your body. But, believe me, I don't want to be in this body any more than you want me to be."
"And what exactly is wrong with my body?" Sarah asked. "It's only the best-looking body in school."
"Well, yeah. If you like looking like a Barbie doll."
"And what's wrong with that?"
Zoe sneered. "I hate preps."
"Yeah?" Sarah said. "Well, I hate freaks!" She turned around and looked at her friends. "Come on, let's get out of here."
"But what about your body?" Allison asked.
"We'll find some other way. I know that with my superior knowledge and wisdom, I'm sure we'll find a way to get me back to normal." She looked down at Karyn's body. "Although ... with a few fashion adjustments, maybe this body won't be so bad after all."
Sarah (still in Karyn's body) walked into the school, followed closely by her friends, while Zoe (in Sarah's body) sat down on the lawn, thinking over what had happened to her.
