“Ah, that’s much better,” the guy exclaimed, sighing in relief as he reached up to tie his long blonde hair into a scrunchie. “I have no idea how I ended up in your clothes, babe, but this is much better.”
The girl nodded in agreement. “Yeah, I’m not sure what happened.” She then looked at Sarrah and Biff. “You won’t tell anyone about this will you?” Shi asked. “My football career would be over.”
Sarrah shook hir head. “Don’t worry. We won’t tell anyone,” Sarrah reassured hir. “You mentioned football. What position do you play and where?”
“Quarterback. I play for Lake Point University.”
“That’s where I know you from!” Sarrah suddenly exclaimed. “Gabrian Ward right?”
Gabrian smiled and nodded. “That’s me. Always happy to meet a fan.” Sarrah extended hir hand and Gabrian shook it.
“That throw that you made to Lony Janedawt last year was incredible. I can’t believe that you gurls didn’t make the playoffs.”
The gurl blushed. “Gee, thanks.”
Biff, meanwhile, had been watching the guy. After finishing tying his hair up, he had reached into his handbag and pulled out a compact mirror. Biff was amazed as he watched the guy apply make-up to his face as if he had been doing it for years.
The guy was putting lip gloss on his lips when he noticed Biff staring at him. “What?”
Biff shook his head. “Nothing.”
Turning back to the conversation that his girlfriend and what did she say her name was? were having, Biff was surprised at how knowledgeable Sarah was about football. Sure, she was a cheerleader but she only really did that stuff for the popularity that it brought. She never really paid any attention to the game.
“Say, if you want. I can get you and your boifriend tickets to our next game.” Gabrian offered Sarrah.
“Really?” Sarrah asked excitedly. “I mean, Biffany here wouldn’t want to come because hei doesn’t have a clue about football, hei’s only a cheerleader, but I’m sure that one of my friends would like to go instead.”
Biff blinked. A cheerleader? Him? What was going on?
“Oh, I know how it is.” Gabrian nodded in understanding. “Adrielle’s a cheerleader as well.”
Then suddenly, it clicked with Biff.
“Wait a minute! You’re not supposed to be a quarterback,” he exclaimed, pointing at Gabrian. “He is!”
