They peered through Steve's window and were surprised to see someone else sleeping in his bed.
"Why is there a Goth in Steve's bedroom?" Jon asked. "He hates them."
Karyn peered closer through the window. "That's not a Goth, Jon. That's Steve. Look, he has a ring on his finger. A black one." She paused for a moment. "I wonder what black represents."
"Mistress of mine," a nearby shrub said. "Black represents Hades, God of the Underworld."
Jon turned and saw Karyn looking at a shrub. Normally, he'd think that she was losing her mind, talking to plants. But since she was now Demeter, Goddess of Agriculture, he knew that it was perfectly normal. He just wished he could hear both sides of the conversation.
"What's it saying?" Jon asked.
"Steve is now Hades."
"Well, that explains the whole gothic look. So, what do we do now?" Jon asked.
