Karyn and Athena looked around them. They were definitely inside a building, but it was too dark to see anything. Karyn found one of the walls and walked around the perimeter of the room until she found the light switch. When she turned it on, they saw where they were. It was Jon's bedroom, of all places.
"I don't believe it. It's Jon's bedroom. What's the chance of that?" Karyn said.
"I'm not sure. It's weird, since the destination is always random."
"How come you didn't just use another spell to light up the room like before?" Karyn asked.
"Using magic isn't a walk in the park, you know. It makes me weaker whenever I use it. I eventually recover, but I always try to keep it at a minimum. Lighting up a room doesn't take that much strength, but relocation does. I didn't want to overexert myself."
Karyn nodded. She looked around the room, hoping to find something that Zoe and her followers left behind, to give them some sort of a clue as to what they were planning. She knew it had something to do with Zoe's revenge, but she didn't know the specifics. After a thorough search, they found nothing.
"Why don't you use your stone?" Athena suggested.
"Oh yeah. I forgot about that. I wish ..."
