"Zoe?" Jon asked, walking into her bedroom. He looked around with wide eyes. His sister was definitely not a Goth anymore. In fact, she was very nearly the opposite. Everything in her room was either pink, purple, or some other variation of the two colors. And Zoe herself looked just like one of Sarah McMillan's friends. Blond hair, tanned skin, pink make-up, a tight white T-shirt (with the word BABE on it in pink letters), a pink pleated miniskirt, and pink heels. Yeah, she was definitely a prep now, and perhaps even a cheerleader too. But what was she screaming about? Did she break a nail? Jon laughed, thinking of what would make Sarah and her friends go off like that.
"It's not funny, Jon!" she yelled. "My whole fucking room changed!"
Jon suddenly stopped laughing. "Wait. You noticed that?"
"Of course, I fucking noticed it!" She collapsed onto her bed. "How could this happen?"
She turned back towards Jon, but he was gone.
Jon ran to his little brother Mikey's room and saw that his room had changed as well, just like what Jon had wished. But he didn't wish for people to notice. Why didn't their memories change to fit the new reality?
