As Mikey climbed out of bed, he muttered to himself, "I wish everyone in this house was extra nice to me!"

Unknown to Mikey, he was in range of the Proximity Stone and his wish had been granted.

Mikey pulled on a t-shirt and pants and left his room. He came down the stairs to find his mom working away in the kitchen as usual.

"Morning sweetie," she turned and smiled at him. "I made something special for breakfast for you today, just a minute it's almost ready."

"What're you talking about?" Mikey rubbed his eyes tiredly.

"Here we are!" Mikey's mom placed a beautifully-decorated chocolate cake down in front of Mikey. Written across the top in icing was:

Mikey
No 1!

"It's your favourite, chocolate fudge!" his mom grinned at him. "I baked it this morning especially for you."

"But," Mikey frowned, "it's not my birthday?"

"I know it's not you're birthday silly! I just thought you might like a cake, just for being you."

"Thanks mom," Mikey shrugged, "I guess."

"That's okay hon," his mom replied with a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Jon soon came down for breakfast himself. He complemented Mikey on his cake but didn't ask for a slice himself. He did however, hug Mikey and affectionately ruffle his hair. "Oops, nearly time for school kids," their mother announced. "Mikey, you don't have to go if you don't want to."

"Say what?" Mikey gasped.

"Mikey, you know I don't mind if you want to stay at home and have a day off. Enjoy yourself a little."

"Okay, Mom. Sure," Mikey thought about it for about a millisecond. "I'd like the day off please."

"Of course honey!" his mom replied. "Call me at work if you get bored, I can say it's an emergency and we can go see a movie or something."

"Wicked. Thanks Mom!" he grinned. He hadn't figured out why everyone was being so nice, but he didn't care. Mikey already knew to milk it for all it's worth. "Hey Jon?"

"Yeah Mikey?"

"Can I use your computer to play video games while you're at school?"

"Sure Mikey," Jon smiled, "not a problem."

"Cool! Can I keep your computer, like forever?"

"Of course Mikey," Jon laughed. "I don't really use it much anyway. In fact, Mikey, I think I have something even better that you might enjoy."

"Oh, what's that?"

Jon turned to his mother and asked, "Mom, can I show Mikey something in my room before I go to school? I'll be quick I promise."

"Sure boys, you have two minutes."

"Come on Mikey!" Jon grabbed his brother's arm and led him upstairs to his room...
