Zelda said "I wish you weren't at school today!" The Donut Stone glowed and suddenly several people surrounding Zelda, both Goths and non-Goths, disappeared. But Zoe was still there. The wish was granted to the people within 50 feet from Zelda. So, whoever those people were looking at got affected by the wish.
"Huh? What happened?" Zelda asked, clearly confused.
"Give me that!" Zoe swiped the stone from her. "This isn't a normal wishing stone. It's a Donut Stone."
"A Donut Stone?"
"Yeah. It only grants wishes to people around you."
"But I used it earlier."
Zoe was about to leave, but when she heard what Zelda said, she stopped. "What?"
"I wished that I wasn't the only Goth at school. And my wish came true."
Zoe didn't hear the wish, so she thought that there was always a large Goth crowd at the school. It felt weird to know that what she believed wasn't supposed to be.
"Listen to me," Zoe said, looking straight at Zelda. "I'm putting this somewhere safe. Don't go looking for it or you'll end up messing things up even more." Then she turned around and left.
