Zoe told Karyn how the Donut Stone worked, but she still didn't believe her.
"I know that people like you think that magic is real, but it's not," Karyn said to Zoe. "It's just fantasy. Now, I've got to go. I only have ten minutes to get to class."
"Wait," Zoe said, holding Karyn's arm. "I'll show you." She held the stone in her hand and said "I wish I weighed 200 pounds for the next 15 seconds." The stone glowed and suddenly everyone within 50 feet of them (and not including Zoe or Karyn, because they heard the wish) became 200 pounds. Sarah was definitely obese, but was still was wearing her tight clothing. The same was true for Jennifer. Several large over-weight guys waddled around outside the school. They all acted as though everything was normal.
After the 15 seconds were up, though, they all returned to normal. None of them reacted in any way. It was like the last 15 seconds had never happened, or at least not the way they remembered it happening.
Karyn's eyes went wide. "It really does work. I can't believe it."
