Karyn looked around and saw that things in her room had been changed. Not only was there a crib to one side, she also saw a stack of papers on top of some textbooks that she was positive weren't there before.

She made her way over to look at them and saw that she had been getting homework assignments and notes from other people and some from the teachers. It seemed that now that Karyn was pregnant and almost due, she was staying at home. At least she had been in the past week or two.

The doorbell rang. Karyn got exhausted easily, but she went to the door and opened it--to be astonished at the sight of Jon, whose belly was as expanded as her own.

"I'm here," said Jon. "We need to get in some more lesson and homework time today... what if our babies come due?"

"What?!" said Karyn as they worked their way over to the couch to sit down. "You're a guy. You can't be pregnant. I was supposed to be pregnant."

"Karyn," said Jon, "we've both been pregnant for almost nine months. We've went to the same parenting classes together, picked out baby clothes together, gone to the same doctors... what are you talking about? You know I'm a girl inside and down there." He pointed between his legs. "Otherwise, how could I become pregnant?"

"Well, who's the father?" asked Karyn.

"Joseph. Who else?"

Karyn did remember a time around nine months ago when she had almost had sex with Joseph... but it must not have been 'almost' any more. "But that would mean we both had sex with him around the same time! And our children will be half-brothers or sisters."

"Of course they will," said Jon. "And it's brothers. We each saw each other's ultrasound, and they could tell we both are having boys."

"It's all wrong!" said Karyn. "I just used your stone to..." She took out the stone, only to be surprised again when Jon took out the same stone.

"We both have a stone," said Jon. "Something's wrong..."

"I just finished telling you that! I wished to become pregnant, and now we both are..."

"Wait a minute, you wished for this?"

"Yes, I did, Jon. I don't know how it affected you, but looking at these two stones, I'm beginning to get an idea. Let me try something. I wish to have a milkshake."

One milkshake appeared in front of Karyn. And another in front of Jon.

"I get it," said Jon. "There are two stones. I'm not sure how. And if you wish for something on one, we both get it."

"And I wished to become pregnant, so we both are. It was just out of curiosity. I should have a way to reverse it."

"You mean if you make your wish and phrase it right, we won't be pregnant?"

"Right. If the wishes affect both of us, it should reverse yours too."

"How could you do this, Karyn?"

"Huh?"

"Karyn, it took me forever to decide that I was going to keep the baby, and tell Joseph about it. To tell Mom and Dad, even. I've lived through all these months of everything from food cravings to people looking at me funny because they don't know that I have the parts to become pregnant. I've gone to those expectant mother classes. I've picked out clothes, and thought about what to name the baby. I've felt it. And you want to just erase it?"

"You just remember it," said Karyn. "It's magic, it didn't really happen."

"How do we know that anything at all happened?" asked Jon. "All we have is our memories. For all we know the world could have been created a second ago. As far as I'm concerned, Jamie is real, and he's mine."

"Jamie?" asked Karyn.

"My baby will be named Jamie," said Jon.

"Did I pick a name?" wondered Karyn.

"Yes, you did. His brother, who's inside you right now, is Kelly." Jon moved up to Karyn, so their stomachs touched. "I wonder if when one kicks like this, the other one can feel any of it..."

"Well, how about if I borrow your stone? If I have the other stone it'll probably just give me sympathy pains twice. I can at least get rid of my baby even if you don't want me to get rid of yours."

"Hold it!" said Jon. "That's murder. Even if you just created your baby, he's alive now. Real. Kelly could even be born today. You can't kill him. And what am I going to tell Jamie when he gets older, that Karyn decided to kill his brother?"

"You may feel this is normal," said Karyn, "but I don't. I've got to do something."

"I have an idea," said Jon. "You have a stone and I do too, and any wish will get both of us. So I wish that...."
