Karyn was distracted. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but something seemed ... well, "off" to her. She still remembered making that careless wish, the one that gave her larger breasts and long blond hair. But the circumstances that lead to that wish ... in her mind, they were kind of muddled, for some reason. She thought that maybe seeing Sarah McMillan had caused her to make that wish. After all, she did have larger breasts than her, but long blond hair? Sarah did have long blond hair, but she also had streaks of artificial red going through it, something Karyn wouldn't want and didn't wish for. And as for her company at the time ... she had a strange feeling that she was with a boy. But her only friends who were boys were Tim Brant and Pete Roberts, and she was sure that neither of them were in possession of a magic stone. No, the only person who she knew had a stone was her only other friend - Zoe Gibson. She remembered Zoe telling her how her grandfather (the father of the woman who adopted her, actually) had died and had given her the stone as an inheritance gift. But for some reason, Karyn couldn't remember Zoe being there with her when she made that dumb wish. She still remembered being with a boy. Why was it so hard to remember?
"Ahem," the teacher uttered.
Karyn snapped out of her confused thoughts and looked up. "Yes?"
"Miss Black. You can daydream on your own time. Please pay attention," the teacher said.
"Sorry."

Meanwhile, Tim Brant finally made it to his destination - a clothing store at the local mall. Jogging inside the mall, still in his gym clothes, no one paid him any mind, as he went straight into the clothing store, then went to one of the clothing racks. He then took off his own clothes and donned the outfit (or part of an outfit) that he had chosen. Blinking, he finally came out of his trance and looked around. Where was he? How did he get here? He then looked down. And what was he wearing?
Elsewhere in the store, someone who had picked out something from that same exact clothing rack suddenly stopped whatever they were doing and walked out of the store, in a trance.
