Nadine pushed herself off of Sarah, realizing that her impulsive decision to kiss her was way over the line. But Sarah didn't look at all shocked. In fact, she seemed pleased.
"Why ... why aren't you freaking out?" Nadine asked.
"Are you a lesbian?" Sarah asked.
"No."
"Bisexual?"
Nadine turned away, looking embarrassed.
Sarah came up to her and put an arm around her. "There's nothing to be embarrassed about. I'm bisexual too."
Nadine turned towards her. "You are?"
Sarah nodded. "I thought I was the only one."
"I thought that too." Nadine settled down a little. "So what now? You're not going to tell anyone, are you?"
"Of course not. I mean, if you don't tell anyone about me," Sarah said.
"Can we ... um ..." She couldn't believe she was asking this, especially considering their former hatred for each other and what her own parents might do if they found out. But what were the chances of finding another bisexual girl or lesbian? And right now, Sarah seemed to be fine with her. "Can we go out sometime?"
"You mean like a date?" Sarah asked.
"Uh, yeah. But I don't want anyone to know. If my family or friends find out ..."
"They won't." Sarah smiled. "Now, can you kiss me again? I really liked that."
