"Hey!" Tina yelled out, startled. But then she calmed down when she saw that it was that Goth girl who had been at her house earlier. She had asked for her help. Maybe she was actually going to give it.
"This is Tina Shepard?" Jon asked. This black girl didn't look anything like her. Both her body and her clothing alike.
"Yes, that's me," the black girl said. "Everyone calls me Chrissy. But that's not my name." She turned towards Zoe. "Please, you have to help me. Everything about my life is different now and I don't know why."
"Wait, you don't know what's going on?" Zoe asked.
Tina shook her head "no".
"Well, that's the only reason I was trying to find you. I thought you had answers," Zoe said, irritated.
"Sorry, I don't. But you're still going to help me, right?"
"Help you how, exactly?" Zoe asked. If this girl didn't have any answers for her, then what was the point of sticking around?
"You have to tell people who I really am. That I'm not this Chrissy girl. That I'm not black."
Jon could see that his sister was considering not helping her. She obviously wanted answers and this girl didn't have any. But unlike his sister, Jon was a bit more compassionate. And he regretted not just heading home and getting the stone to fix all of this. He was the only one who could fix it.
