After uttering those words aloud, Karyn dropped the note and dreamily walked to the gymnasium. She thought about a braindead type of bimbo like Tiffany Sanders, who seemed to have everything handed to her by flaunting her looks.
She discarded her usual sweatshirt and leggings into the lost and found and replaced it with a crop top that oozed school spirit and a skirt Karyn would normally find too revealing.
The new Karyn primped herself in the mirror, and left. No longer bogged down with all her old insecurities, for once she felt free and happy. She giggled to herself.
“Is that Karyn?” she heard whispers in the hallway.
She walked into class. Mr. Flynn was taken aback but did his best to maintain professionalism.
“Ok, clear your desks”
Although Karyn prepared for this test, the new Karyn decided to take advantage of her new swagger. She moved her desk closer to Leonard, the smartest person in class.
“Oh wow Leonard, those glasses look so good on you today!” Karyn smiled and twirled her hair.
Leonard could hardly keep his head up. “Thanks, Karyn, you look really good today too”
“Aww thanks, Len! You’re too sweet! Hey, do you mind if you angle your answers towards me during the test? I’d really owe you one.” Karyn whispered.
“Uhh, I mean, sure, I can do that for you.”
