Meanwhile, Kurt was still in the woods, still immersed within the cloud. But ... nothing was happening. Somehow, the cloud sensed this and tried to make itself more dense around the cop, trying its hardest to change him. But for some reason, it seemed that Kurt was immune. This worried it. If one person was immune to its changes, then could others be too?
Moments later, Kurt stumbled out of the woods, unscathed, but totally weirded out by that strange fog that had quickly become dense and only around him, as if it almost had intent. "Danielle?" he asked, suddenly remembering that he wasn't the only one who had gone in there. Where was his partner?
