...Argh, the stupid thing caused me to post this in the wrong area...! Sorry about that.
"Well, tell me more about your plans for Mary. There's something else, as well: Cass is a bit pissed off at Mary for the whole "nearly asphyxiating her lover to make a point" thing. It also shows a bit of a pattern: Mary "knows what's best for everyone" and takes it upon herself to impose it. It may even be "for the best", but it's a bit beyond the pale. Think Cass could get involved in this conversation?"
Okay, I'll be happy to talk about it.
[These are some slightly vague ideas of what I had in mind.]
> First off, I am grad you mention the whole "asphyxiating' thing, since Mary would do that precise thing on Mrs. Crawford. The confrontation will start out peacefully at first, and Mary's side of the story would actually ease many of Mrs. Crawford's concerns. However, when Emily was getting on to her about a certain part of her action, Mary pulled the whole 'Choke Hold' on her (which should normally be impossible on a living shadow, which explain that Mary is more powerful than she let on) and began to lecture Mrs. Crawford like she did with Cass's lover (which I hate to admit that the name escape me for the moment).
> The event would trigger an old part of herself to resurface, the part that got her a certain nickname during her youth, leading to her breaking free of the hold and launching vast amount of shadow hands to wrap around Mary. While trap, Emily walked up to the woman and broke off her hidden horn, which not only disrupt her illusion and show off her true form, but also make her very weak in term of her power.
> The horn would normally grow back among with her full power, but Mrs. Crawford figured the possibility of that, and punish the woman by requiring her to break her own horn every time her horn grown in order to continue teaching, in addition to a 20% pay cut for a month and becoming a private tutor for Tiffany in term of magic (which Emily estimated that they are similar enough to have the same abilities, more-or-less).
> I got no problem with Cass involvement in this. She would most likely find the situation amusing, especially the part of Mrs. Crawford turning some of Mary's early comments back on her. The best time for her own confrontation, however, would be after Mrs. Crawford walked away with Tiffany.
> One last part, the whold tutor thing is a bit of a 'playful' punishment for Tiffany as well.
