"I wish Jon was my boyfriend," Karyn said. Then the stone emitted a strange purple glow.
Karyn looked around as if she were in a daze, then looked over at Jon, who was holding a bath towel around himself.
She walked towards him. "You don't need that towel, Jon," she said, with a smile.
"Huh?"
Karyn pulled it away from him and Jon cringed to cover himself up.
"It's not like I haven't seen you naked before."
"What?"
"Jon, you're my boyfriend. You know we have sex at least every day or so."
Jon was speechless, but also confused. How come she didn't remember how things were supposed to be? And why did the stone glow purple instead of white?
