"I wish I was as popular as Sarah McMillan and her friends," Karyn said and a strange purple glow came from the stone. After the flash, Jon saw that Karyn's clothes had become more slutty like Sarah's. Karyn also looked dazed, for some reason.
"Karyn? Why did you wish for that?"
Karyn dropped the stone on the floor when she abrubtly turned towards Jon. She saw him holding a bath towel around himself. "Eww. Like, what am I doing here?"
"Karyn? Are you okay?"
"How do you know my name?" Then it seemed that her mind cleared a bit. "Wait, I know you. You're one of those losers from school."
"Karyn? What's the matter with you? We're friends."
"Like, no way. I could never be friends with you."
Jon was crushed. But he was also confused. She heard her own wish, so why didn't she remember how things are supposed to be? And why did the stone have a purple glow instead of a white one?
"I gotta, like, find Sarah." And she left his room and his house.
