Jon franticly looked around. "Where are my clothes?"
"Jon, calm down. What's wrong?" Karyn's older brother said.
Jon wasn't listening, though. He was diving through his underwear drawer to get a new pair and he hurriedly put them on. With that covered (no pun intended), Jon looked around for the stone. He'd have to fix whatever he did wrong.
"What are you looking for, Jon? Maybe I could help."
But Jon didn't need Joseph's help. He had found the stone: sitting on the bed just a few inches away from Joseph's body. Joseph's naked body.
Joseph followed Jon's gaze and he saw the stone. "Is this what you want?" he asked, as he held it up. "It's just some stupid rock."
"Put it down, Joseph. You don't understand what that is."
"Why? What is it?"
"Just give it to me," Jon said, impatiently.
Joseph sighed. "You know, Jon. I wish ..."
