The bus trip was uneventful heading back home, despite all his apps being transferred into Zoe’s phone, he found himself distracted and replaying all the events of the day going over in his mind. Did Emily find him attractive just because he was somewhat girlish? She seemed to really enjoy the fact that he had breasts today. Maybe she does like girls, but she was also talking about her ex boyfriend, so perhaps not. Maybe she really likes Jon for real but the slight alteration in reality made it more pronounced? Who knows?
The moment with Emily admiring his breasts, the bit where she snuggled to him on the beach, the part where she licked the chocolate off his breast, it was all there. She liked him, and despite never thinking of it before, he really liked her too. Karyn had been his crush for years, but Emily was smart, funny, he assumed brave. All the traits that Jon crushed Karyn over, but she seemed to reciprocate. And now she wants to meet up without Karyn later in the evening – tonight even!
Jon eventually got home and headed back inside, dropping the bag of wet beach clothes in the foyer and kicking off his flats, same as he’d always done with his old shoes at the door. He’d gotten so used to the new clothing today he was starting to feel pretty comfortable and not consciously be thinking about it all the time that he was wearing a skirt for most of the day, or that he had a vagina between his legs.
Jon could hear the sound of water running from the bathroom and the sign that Zoe’s bedroom door was open was all the proof he needed to know she was home. Now was as good a time as any he figured, Zoe probably deserves her body back and she’s already showering anyway.
“You can have it back”, he said, in an instant, his body returning to normal. Extremely naked of course considering where his legs had been, but still normal. With a quick glance downstairs, he could see the ballet flats he’d borrowed from Zoe and kicked off haphazardly, were now his sandals instead, the phone in his hand had morphed back into his regular Android instead of Zoe’s iPhone. Jon grabbed his stuff and headed back into his room, using the beach towel to dry off his damp and freshly returned legs.
Later in the evening, everyone had returned home. Everything seemed normal again, like his body swapping changes had never even happened. At the dining table, Mickey was carrying on about something he’d seen at the shops today with their mother, Linda. Zoe was sitting at the table eating her food and wishing she was anywhere else but there, texting all the time. The faithful golden retriever Nikita, sitting on the floor of the table, just waiting for something to drop on the floor. Dinner seemed... boring, and Jon was needing a distraction from over thinking the beach today.
The distraction being right in front of him; Zoe, Mickey, their mother and Nikita. He was longing for a distraction and the four of his family in front of him may be presenting just that distraction. He was seriously considering using his body swapping powers on his family; mix them up a bit to see what happens. At the very least, Jon reasoned, he knows he can undo any changes he makes, and it would be somewhat cruel to leave them changed forever, but it may be fun to mix them up a little bit while he sorts out some things.
But should he do it? That was the question going over his mind. Jon’s not cruel, but it’s not cruel if they don’t notice. And it’s all reversible with a simple phrase. The agony of choice...
